Cirque du Soleil x MSC Cruises

The Challenge

The challenge is to elevate the onboard entertainment experience by introducing exclusive, world-class performances aboard MSC Cruises’ Meraviglia-class ships. The objective is to transform a cruise environment, traditionally limited by space and technical constraints, into a venue capable of hosting immersive, premium theatrical experiences at sea.

The Solution

The solution is the creation of Cirque du Soleil at Sea, launched in 2013 through a partnership between MSC Cruises and Cirque du Soleil to deliver original shows designed specifically for the fleet.

EXENTRICKS

In 2019, the collaboration expands with EXENTRICKS, conceived for the custom-built Carousel Lounge aboard the MSC Grandiosa.

This 400-seat theater, featuring a 360° rotating stage and advanced technology, enables the presentation of a fully immersive production at sea.

EXENTRICKS brought to life a whimsical world in which a troupe must save their show after their star is injured, combining humor, acrobatics, audience interaction, bold costumes, and an electropop score by Milk & Bone.
